BOCA RATON, Fla. — Siemens Communications, Inc. [NYSE: SI] today introduced the latest addition to its Enterprise-wide Foundation for Mobility portfolio, the HiPathR Wireless C2400 Controller. Siemens’
next-generation wireless LAN (WLAN) controller seamlessly integrates with virtually any wired infrastructure - reinforcing the company’s Open Communications positioning - making it easy to cost-effectively deploy productivity-enhancing wireless voice and data services across an enterprise. The C2400 is designed to support high-volume, mission-critical business processes on a scalable, high performance platform.
Siemens released the C2400 Controller - its fourth wireless product introduction in the last 18 months - in response to rapidly growing demand from its enterprise WLAN customer base. The company has experienced significant customer wins in the healthcare, education and industrial automation verticals, contributing to its 125 percent compound quarterly growth rate since the launch of HiPath Wireless in 2005. Siemens Enterprise Communications works closely with other Siemens divisions such as Industrial Automation & Drives to build integrated portfolios that uniquely address vertical market needs. The HiPath WLAN portfolio is now sold in more than 40 countries.
“With the introduction of the C2400 controller, Siemens is building on its position as a leader in wireless network technology,” said Eve Aretakis, CEO, Siemens Communications, Inc. “This product, in addition to the other solutions in our growing portfolio of WLAN products, places us clearly ahead of the competition in numerous areas including security and Voice over Wireless LAN (VoWLAN). The C2400 further reinforces Siemens’ commitment to technology leadership within the mobile enterprise and WLAN market.”
